The short version
Post real reviews of real meals, be honest with your rating, and don't use EatRate to hurt people, businesses, or the reward system.
Don't
- Fake or farm reviews. Posting fabricated meals, using multiple accounts, or coordinating with others to rack up rewards is fraud and will get your account suspended and any pending rewards forfeited.
- Impersonate another person, restaurant, or business.
- Harass, threaten, or bully anyone through captions, reports, or any other feature.
- Post illegal content, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright or rights.
- Attack the platform — attempting to bypass rate limits, scrape data at scale, or probe for security vulnerabilities without our permission.
- Post anything unrelated to food as your review photo/caption in an attempt to abuse the reward system.
Restaurant partners
If you're a restaurant owner using the business dashboard, the same rules apply: don't post fake reviews of your own restaurant or a competitor's, and don't manipulate the soft-launch partner program to gain an unfair advantage.
Reporting
Every post has a Report option. We manually review reports — flagging a post you disagree with but that doesn't violate this policy isn't itself a violation, but repeated bad-faith reporting is.
Enforcement
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or deny/reclaim rewards for violations of this policy, at our discretion, with or without notice depending on severity.
